Important Updates
Effective January 5, 2009 The Scholar's Workstation (TSW) has changed how it provides service to the campus. The TSW store that was located in temporary facilities at Hearst Field Annex, closed at noon December 12, 2008.
As of March 2, 2009, the Technology Store for Departments is now open at 156 Martin Luther King Junior Student Union.
Computer Sales for Departments
The TSW (classic) Store for Departments is operational, and continues to be managed by Information Services and Technology. This is a store for faculty and staff to purchase products with departmental funds. The new Technology Store for Departments is now open at 156 Martin Luther King Junior Student Union from 10AM to 3PM, Monday - Friday. Fax department orders to 643-6201. Call 642-8424 for help. Computer Sales for Individuals
The student, faculty, and staff Division of The Scholar's Workstation (managed by ASUC and Follett effective January 1, 2009), is now open at the Cal Student Store located in Lower Sproul Plaza. This store is designed for students, faculty, and staff to purchase items with personal funds, such as credit cards or cash.
Also available for individual purchases, are on line ordering web portals made available by many of our vendor partners.
Software Central
Software Central offers software to UC Berkeley faculty, staff and students, usually as a free download. The products available through this site are made available through various campus and Office of the President's negotiated agreements. Most downloads require a CalNet ID and authentication.
Cellular Devices & Services
The Cellular Devices & Services Unit offers a variety of wireless products and services from approved University vendors, including Cingular, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. Services selected will be routed through the IST shopping cart.
Legal Downloads
In an effort to provide legal downloading alternatives for students, UC Berkeley has negotiated favorable deals with music service iTunes. iTunes service offers more than one million songs!
